THE GELLERT BATHS
The Gellért Baths located in Buda are attached to the Grand Hotel Gellért and are at the foot of Mont Gellért and its hot mineral springs. Opened in 1918, the baths were extended in 1927 and 1934 with an outdoor wave pool and a whirlpool. These thermal baths are an institution in Budapest as much by their Art Deco architecture as by the numerous thermal pools and services offered.
You will discover its famous entrance with its glass roof and Art Nouveau style gallery as well as the swimming pools made by the famous Hungarian company of porcelain and ceramic from Zsolnay.
Outside you will find the large wave pool (every 30 min) at 26 ° C and smaller pools. Inside a mixed swimming pool and a dozen non-mixed thermal pools, as well as saunas and hammams. Massage services are also available.
