THE LUKÁCS BATHS
The Lukács baths are among the oldest baths in Budapest: as early as the 12th century, the Knights of St John were treated there during the Crusades, then under the Ottoman occupation, baths transformed into Turkish baths were the favorites of the Pasha Mustafa.
The baths were renovated and reopened in 1884 and a second time in 1999.
The Lukács thermal baths offer 3 outdoor pools and several indoor pools, all mixed, as well as a sauna, a hammam, a terrace on the roof of the building and various massage services.
These positive points:
-
thermal waters would mainly have benefits in rheumatology and for breathing .
-
a pool on the roof of the building, saunas and hammas, a restaurant, other pools…
-
there are many more locals and far fewer tourists .
